This inlaid mahogany game table has some great examples of federal style motifs and techniques including a griffin inlaid marquetry and parquetry banding and details. The four tapered legs are beautifully decorated with bell flower details. This game table has it's own secrets, as it unfolds to hold a become a table large enough to seat four. Two of the legs swing out on wooden hinges to hold up the opened leaf of the table. The carved edged table top is made of wooden veneer with cross-banded edges.
